Hafenwirtschaft in Kiel

The ice cream is great, but the prices are sometimes cheeky and unfortunately the selection of ice cream changes constantly. Otherwise everything was great, especially the Günther Netzer on the summer menu is great!

So far we have not found any substantial reason to complain about this restaurant. The service is very good - the staff very friendly, the food also tastes very good. The corona measures were implemented on the day of our visit. The only thing that might bother someone who has a particularly large appetite is the size of the portions. Clear recommendation!

Nice ambience, parking in front of the door and one of the best fish curry I've eaten.

Very nice location right on the water. The rooms are quaint. The food was delicious. A star deduction because we a) sat at the front of the door drafty and b) the service staff were not very attentive.

A friendly welcome and attentive service who also knew exactly what was in the dressing. Very tasty food and great location. We will be back.

Nice restaurant with very good cuisine

The local is really easy to get to! The convenient transport connections make a visit possible quickly. The things I ordered on the menu were nicely arranged and are always served warm. The waiters are extremely lovely and extremely obliging every time. This gives me and my husband a lot of pleasure every time we visit, and we were completely positively surprised. We'll both be back for sure.

Historic building, very attractively designed. Menu offers variety. What we ate (in combination meat and fish) was very tasty.

Positive: The Hafenwirtschaft is a very nice and rustically furnished restaurant right on the water in Kiel-Holtenau. The reservation by phone went smoothly and we had a nice table with enough space with 4 people. The food was delicious and the taste was nothing to complain about. Negative: The sea bass from the daily menu was ordered and a short time later the waiter announced that it was off. Three panfish were ordered, the fish fillets were very tasty, unfortunately there were five fried potatoes under the fillets which is definitely not enough. We're talking about fried potatoes here. The proportions were wrong. Without a starter we would not have been full. Furthermore, the pan fish was ordered once without onions and then came without onions AND without bacon. When asked why the bacon was left out, the waitress replied, “The cook doesn't have that many pans.” If you were to say, please don't add salmon to the fillets, you don't leave out all the fillets. On the whole a nice restaurant with delicious dishes, unfortunately too small portions. Service could be a little friendlier. 3/5 stars.

Ambience great, service attentive and friendly and (maritime) food of excellent quality, on top of that in a reasonable price-performance ratio. A successful evening in a rarely visited part of town

Very nice place right on the water. The service can definitely be improved. Had to wait a long time for the card. Also to order. Was a bit chaotic because people came after us to order. The waitress was stressed, which is clear when it is full and you lose track. Maybe just split up the staff better.

We came to the canal to see the Lighthouse and was also looking for a place to eat. The sign did not make us think it was a restaurant but checked it out anyways. Glad we did. We were there early and was told they are not open for supper til 5 but should make a reservation as they had reservations already

Somewhat expensive for schnitzel with beans. But it was very good and the location is really great, cozy, nice. Right on the canal. Relatively friendly staff. But there is still room for improvement.

It's always nice and we had a nice afternoon. I would have preferred to try it out first, but then there would have been no room for the great meal. The table decorations on the tables and in the entire restaurant make sense and are aesthetic. The toilets are always clean and all in all the restaurant gives a harmonious impression. Not only the nice restaurant staff was a total hit when I visited, but also the great flair.

Very nice, maritime atmosphere and ideal for sitting outside in summer. Were here with the keel book and were very satisfied. Prices are a bit higher, but we would still go back.

Superb service and atmosphere, would recommend the meals and good for kids as well. Several different food options to choose out of the menu, fantastic. Find out about it online so was anticipating it to be loaded out, but lucky they were in a position to cater to us. Great food and cocktails too, you will not be unfulfilled. Cannot go wrong with the good food here and the costs are fair. The staff were definitely immaculately dressed and it had been very clear they knew their job very well.

The environment and the small cafe are so magical. It is very simple and still has a lot of charm. The girls who prepared and brought us the delicious fish sandwiches are very friendly. I have been here 10 times and will keep coming back

We have tried the lunch menu here and feel satisfied. Though the portion is a bit little. There is a package for the lunch menu with good price. It consist of 3 courses: appetizer, main course, and dessert. You still have option to choose. The place is wide and historic with old interior decoration. So you do not need to worry if you want to come with a big group. It is also good to bring kids here. They will get something for getting them busy (paper and crayon for drawing) while waiting for the food. The service is also very friendly.

The restaurant is located on the first floor of a historic warehouse. The Thiessenkai is only some steps away. The food is very tasty and the staff friendly. The menu has a very nice selection. I also recommend also the lunch menu. Seats outside are at least during summer also available.

We were here today we came across this restaurant through a voucher book. We all had a pizza. It's something completely different with the sourdough. The pizza was delicious and I can recommend it to others. We will come back in any case.
